Fátima Rodrigo at the 14 Bienal de Mercosur: Estalo.

We are pleased to announce Fátima Rodrigo’s participation at the 14 Bienal de Mercosul: Estalo.
At the 14th Mercosul Biennial, Fátima Rodrigo is presenting two commissioned installations that develop like dance floors, located at the Pop Center and Espaço Força e Luz, both in downtown Porto Alegre. Inspired by music and dance as central elements of celebrations and social situations, as well as the scenography of popular TV shows in Latin America, Rodrigo invites passers-by and visitors to integrate her scenarios, transforming them into living diagrams that are continually redrawn by moving bodies. By situating his works in public spaces, the artist is also expanding the traditional boundaries of so-called “art spaces”.
