Ximena Garrido-Lecca participates in the 24 Bienal de Arte Paiz, “El árbol del mundo”, curated by Eugenio Viola, presenting “Arqueología Botánica.” The biennial opens on November 6 in Guatemala.

This edition takes the metaphor of the “world tree” as a symbol of interconnection between cultures, times, and spaces. Inspired by ancestral cosmogonies, it reflects on contemporary art’s ability to bridge the spiritual and the material, the individual and the collective. Participating projects explore the connections between beings, territories, and ancestral knowledge, celebrating diversity and inspiring change.
