Chonon Bensho and Rita Ponce de León at MASP with Histórias da ecologia

04.09.2025

The museum’s eighth exhibition dedicated to diverse, plural, and polyphonic stories since 2016.
Beyond the undeniable urgency of the climate crisis, the exhibition expands the concept of ecology, analyzing, through the work of artists, activists, and social movements, the relationships between humans and more-than-humans – which include animals, plants, rivers, forests, mountains, and fungi.

With works by 116 artists, mostly from the so-called Global South, Histórias da ecologia expands this network to establish alliances between South and North, recognizing that climate crisis requires coordinated, supportive, and urgent action.
