Fátima Rodrigo presents “Con todo y mi tristeza” at the Tamayo Museum, curated by Ixel Rion. The exhibition is presented as a site-specific installation in the museum’s central courtyard and will be open to the public through September 27.
Drawing on the visual languages of Latin American entertainment—particularly the set designs of music shows and game shows—the artist reconfigures these codes, which have evolved since the 1960s alongside the rise of mass media, to reflect on how popular culture has shaped access to modern visual forms, inviting viewers to interact with the work through sound and movement.
