This is a two part exhibition that will bring together artworks ranging from the Pre-Hispanic period to the contemporary era, exploring the myth of El Dorado as a foundation narrative of the Americas. Part I will be on view starting September 6 until December 16, 2023 and part II will run from January 24 to May 18, 2024.

In addition to the show, we will host a series of public programs as well as publish a catalog and a reader featuring texts by leading scholars about El Dorado.
