EFG Latin America Art Award, in partnership with ArtNexus, is pleased to announce Iosu Aramburu, from Pasto Galería, Buenos Aires, Argentina, as the nominated artist in the arteBA. The work was selected with the collaboration of Florencia Malbran, writer and art curator, jointly with Celia Sredni de Birbragher, director and editor of ArtNexus. Strategic development by LIAISONS GLOBAL EXPERIENCES. The nominated work was “X106 (Ghosts)” from 2022, an oil on canvas. Iosu Aramburu (b. 1986. Lima, Peru) is a visual artist whose work includes paintings, sculptures, and installations that explore the imagination of a multifaceted modernity and its utopian possibilities. His research project revisits early and mid-century modernism in the Andean region by constructing an Atlas of forgotten images to map changing sensibilities in the area.
